An animation test I did for Design for Life studios here in Dublin.
Starting from a model of the character the studio sent me as a Cinema 4D file I went to ZBrush where I made some adjustments to the proportions and then to Topogun where I tweaked the edge flow for better deformation during animation.
Next I created a clean UV map for the body in Headus UVLayout and painted color and bump maps for it back in ZBrush.
The next job was the most fun part for me, building a quick rig in Maya and animating a test walkcycle. I layered some more motion on top of the animation cycle using animation layers and then did dynamic simulation for the whiskers using nHair.
With the animation in a rough, but complete enough state for this test, I exported all of the meshes to Cinema 4D where I set up the materials and a simple scene. I rendered it with Cinemas Advanced Renderer using GI and AO for lighting. I added the text and a vignette to the final in After Effects.
